For Jeremy Naugler, it’s more than “just a haircut—sometimes it’s a chance to escape all the stress people have in their life.” An escape, yes, but also a chance to laugh, as both Naugler and Sailor Bup’s owner, Mark Peyton, talk about the sense of male bonding the barber shop provides. “Jeremy’s nickname is the Garbage Pail Kid, because no matter what you put in front of him, he’ll eat it. Sometimes we post on social media, and people bring food in the shop for Jeremy,” Peyton says with a laugh, showing that the haircut and shave come with a free side of bro humour.
