According to readers of The Coast, the north end pizza joint is the best place to get a pizza in the city, and has been for seven years, which is saying something in this competitive pizza market, both among the typical Canadian thick-crust pizza varieties and what Salvatore's offers: the gourmet, thin-crust types, with a plethora of fresh toppings, including homemade meatballs, anchovies, black kalamata olives, baby clams, artichoke hearts, plum tomatoes and many, many cheeses.
