Plants vs. Zombies

Microsoft Windows, Mac OSX, iOS, Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, Nintendo DS (PopCap Games)

It’s the zombie apocalypse! What are we going to do? The last thing a person would probably suggest is to line up a bunch of plants to protect yourself, but that’s exactly your goal in this entertaining tower defense game. Plants vs. Zombies is painfully addictive as you defend your home from progressively more aggressive walking dead. Not all zombies are the same---some have special abilities, such as being Michael Jackson. But have no fear, the plants are your main form of protection. Set up strategically they can fire projectiles, block paths, or explode. You’ll also need to keep an eye out for coins for upgrading your garden arsenal. Certain plants can only be used in the daytime, some are idealized for the swimming pool---you have to use your brain to protect your brain. With a funny art style, interesting extras and lots of different modes, this might give you an excuse to give those angry birds a rest.
