Big thank you to Halifax Transit’s lost and found for their outstanding customer service, the driver on route four Wednesday morning and especially the good samaritan who returned my laptop. 10,000 thanks still isn't enough. — KJ

Just want to send some love out to the people who've had my back from my teen years to now. My longtime chosen family who get me and who have seen me at my worst, and supported me and encouraged me during my struggles, are the ones whose words ring through to my soul and strip all else away when things get noisy. All you moral, upstanding, dignified humans, who don't cheat or lie or undermine or covertly hurt anyone else, are my heroes. I love you all for so many reasons, but right now I'm so very grateful simply for you just being there. — You Know Who You Are

You put a sparkly Christmas pillow in a tree with a note about how it was up for grabs. I took it and gave it to my parents—they love that kind of shit, and they loved the pillow ("maybe we'll keep it out all year!"). Just wanted you to know that the pillow ended up in the perfect place. — Joy To The North End

I took my dad to get some blood work done this Saturday and it was a few hours wait. They serviced over 1,000 people, and my appreciation goes to the staff, who were very patient and understanding. However, the most thoughtful act came from a young blonde woman with a nose ring. After waiting for hours, she noticed that the very senior woman next to her had a ticket that would leave her waiting for hours more. Without thinking twice about it she offered to swap her ticket and then proceeded to engage with this elderly woman for a long while. I think I fell in love with you while I listened to you share your life with this woman and listen to her intently. You have restored my faith in humanity. — Some Guy Who Thinks You're Great

I was in a rush last year and just wanted a bottle of wine for company coming, and you offered to let me put your purchase on my Air Miles card. You were so incredibly cute and my gaydar kind of went off. I still think of you and how cute and sweet you were. — Fond Memories Of The NSLC

A dark 6am good morning.
A shared smile over baby giggles.
A held elevator on a busy day.
A quick chat as two tails wag.
Here's to all the little things that connect us to strangers in this crazy world. — Stranger

What a beautiful gift to be able to feel so deeply. I didn't tell you, but I was falling in love. You wouldn't have heard me if I had, anyway. Thank you for the laughs, the dancing, the cuddling and the abandoned plans. Even if we worked harder to make it work, it would have ended in tears. But you were a lovely almost.

A big shout out to Dale and Aaron at the Lost and Found at the Metro Transit Bridge Terminal. I lost my wallet on one bus going to the bridge terminal from Dartmouth, and my cell phone on the bus going across the bridge to Halifax. I got the number for lost and found at Halifax Transit, so I called them and we established a great rapport. I left a voicemail with Dale, and when I called again, he asked me to be more specific about my phone since there was something showing up in their systems. He asked me to describe it to him, and I told him the brand name only appeared near the speaker. He asked if I could wait a while, as he had to have a look in his inventory again: lo and behold, my wallet, with all the money I had, and a lottery ticket AND my phone were at the lost and found! I had my phone scan my fingerprint and: voilà! Freaking A+++ for customer service guys and for getting these things back to me.

So people, when you lose your shit and it MIGHT be on the bus, don't panic. These guys are super busy! Let them do their job and locate the stuff and stop calling every day to find out if your things are there. It must be super stressful working there. So I didn't have my cell phone for a week: it was actually nice to be flying blind and almost incommunicado for six or seven days! Thanks to everyone you two at the Dartmouth Bridge Terminal, you guys rock!

Thank you for my bottle of wine! It is greatly appreciated, especially after the day I endured today. I don't know which one of you it was from, but thank you.

I want to shout out the driver of the 3 who always stops for people when they’re running to catch his bus. You’ve saved my roommate and I from being late for work numerous times, and I’m sure there are others who can say the same! In all my years of being a Halifax Transit passenger, he’s the only one I’ve seen do this, which is why I’ve named him the best bus driver in HRM. Love!
