According to the comments they leave while casting their votes, readers love the Museum of Natural History for all kinds of reasons: “Costumes.” “Bees.” “Batman.” “Gus the tortoise.” Needless to say, we’re not just in dinosaur territory anymore---although, who really needs anything more than dinosaurs? With a new exhibit on illegal animal trade and an exhibit of TV and movie costumes still fresh in the museum’s memory, it’s clear the people behind the scenes at the museum know what we like, and they deliver. Curator Jeff Gray says the museum’s success is a function of longevity: “We’ve been here for 40 years, and now I see a lot of people who come in today with their children and talk about how they would come when they were kids, too.”
